PREGNANCY

Reflexology is extremely popular throughout pregnancy as it is beneficial both to the pregnant woman and her baby.  Reflexology helps the client achieve a deep state of relaxation, which in turn brings about a feeling of well-being and vitality. A woman who feels relaxed, happy & positive during pregnancy is more likely to cope during labour and the actual birth.

Reflexology helps the pregnant woman to adjust to the major changes which are occurring to her body eg hormonal surges, pressure under ribcage due to 'bump' growth etc. Studies have found that regular reflexology during pregnancy can bring about shorter, less painful labour with a reduced chance of intervention eg. use of forceps, caesarean section.
