INTRODUCTION

Reflexology is a natural, holistic therapy, which is carried out on the feet or hands. It is used to promote a feeling of well being and is suitable for people of all ages.

Reflexology is based on the idea that the feet are mini maps of the body and that there are points or reflexes on the feet, which relate to the vital organs, glands or structures of the body. For example, the big toe represents the head and at the base of the big toe is the point for the neck.

When these reflexes or areas are worked on during treatment, any blockages or congestion (highlighted by gritty or lumpy areas or a feeling of tenderness by the client) can be eradicated; this in turn enables the body to function at its optimum level. Without reflexology treatment we are prone to viruses eg colds and our bodies can become run down and inefficient.

TESTIMONIAL

"Claire treated me from the early stages of pregnancy and I am sure that it helped me to deliver my second child naturally after a difficult first labour which resulted in an emergency c-section. She was positive, caring and was able to empathise with all my thoughts and concerns about both pregnancy and birth. If we have another child (and with a 6 week old, its a big if at the moment!) I would certainly have another course of treatments with Claire."
